Feed were looking to update their existing project management tool that mainly focused on the ability for users both internal and clients alike to provide feedback on the work that was being created.
My role was to rethink how this platform worked and could be more efficient streamline the delivery process at Feed combined the bespoke tools used for the creation of emails, display advertising and other pieces of creative that Feed delivered. The challenge was how to link these delivery tools to create a seamless user journey for multiple users including account managers, designers, developers and clients.

With a large number of people already using the tool Feed were looking to update meant there was a good number of users to gain insight from on how they would like to see the tool improved and the issues, they had with the current experience. This research was invaluable and helped to build up a bigger picture of the job at hand giving a clear idea of the features that needed to be carried over into the new product and features that could be added to make the workflow more straightforward.
As well as the insight from user interviews user flows were also key to understanding the process at each stage of the journey. These also helped with explaining and getting buy-in from stakeholders who needed see how each member of the team interacts with the product at various different stages.

Creating a place where designers and account managers could see what their daily and weekly workloads looked like and a place where all the information could be provided that coincides with that job.

A place where every user could see what their workload looked like and the tasks associated with that project in order to complete it. Using a kanban meant users could see what tasks needed to be completed with each task linked to a completion percentage so project managers could see how jobs were progressing. This also meant time could be easily tracked within projects removing the need for users to manually input their timesheets and provide project managers with an insight into how long certain tasks were taking.

The jobs page needed to be a place where the users could get more information on the status of individual jobs and the tasks at hand. It also needed to be a place where the job could be managed from uploading relevant information such as briefs and links to adding or removing members of the team.

This is where the assets could be uploaded and feedback is given. It needed to be clear what piece of work the user was looking at and see the rest of the assets associated with that job. User permissions were also key at this point to make sure certain users could only see the necessary information relating to that job.
Planner
Planner
The planner is instrumental to how the product works and is the entry point where account managers can input jobs for the team as well as get a clear indication of the wider teams workload and how best to manage that time.
