essensys is a platform that connects, controls, and automates digital services, enabling their customers to create seamless in-building experiences.

essensys came to Pollitt & Partners looking for a complete website overhaul and brand refresh to help elevate their brand and cement themselves as a global software and technology company within commercial real estate.

Following workshops with key stakeholders in the business, we looked at giving the brand a digital first look and feel, developing the brand around the idea of 'the intelligent digital backbone for commercial real estate'.

We created a brighter and more vibrant colour pallet based on a few core colours that had come before it. Working with Ihor Hedz we created dynamic and engaging illustrations to help convey the complex nature of the essensys offering to give the team a broader toolkit to bring ideas to life. We also looked at how we could bring "the intelligent backbone" to life through a vertical line that we could subtly animate and flow down central parts of the website. Alongside these graphic elements, we also developed a photography style that would help reinforce this idea further, using imagery with a strong vertical direction and symmetry or a one-point perspective to bring the concept of an intelligent digital backbone to life.

Process

I took a multi-step process for essensys that consisted of discovery workshops, competitor audits, sitemap creation, user flow diagrams, content considerations, and design concepts. I identified the client's business goals, target audience, and user needs before creating a sitemap and user flows to map out the user journey. Once the client was happy with the site architecture, I worked this into wireframes before using this as a blueprint for design concepts. After finalizing the design direction, I focused on high-fidelity design and a working prototype, emphasizing aesthetics and visual hierarchy.
